Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have resulted in electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.
Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered problems to drinking water, per reports from city officials.
Meanwhile, a minor was killed in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to regional authorities.
Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over recent weeks, while Ukrainian leadership has requested "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Russia.
"The necessity is not window dressing but firm measures - from the US, Europe and the Group of Seven - in providing defensive weapons and applying penalties," he wrote in a online statement.
He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets targeted energy facilities, characterizing such attacks as "premeditated" and against "critical infrastructure" as temperatures become colder.
Energy officials said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.
A barrage of missiles hit electrical systems and civilian homes in the capital.
Multiple people wounded in the assaults on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by local officials.
Local officials said the metropolitan region endured significant strikes throughout the evening. A seven-year-old child was killed and multiple civilians were hurt.
The strikes succeed evenings of aerial attacks in the territory, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.
The entire country is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are harder to spot.
National leaders told the media that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the national power system, with strikes already affecting energy systems.
Authorities confirmed technical personnel and government agencies were bracing for more assaults.
